Annalise Droitour
Annalise DroitourBear Cubs Program Director
Annalise moved to Nashville in 2006 to attend Belmont University and instead of going home to Austin, Texas, every summer, Annalise worked at Camp Hawthorne, a summer camp in Maine, throughout her college years (and a few post grad years too). She taught music, songwriting, guitar, swimming, tie dye and all other kinds of fun camp activities. After graduating in 2010, Annalise started making albums and touring as a singer/songwriter full time. Over the past 7 years she’s released 3 albums and toured extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe. When she’s not at camp, you can find Annalise watching Survivor, catching up on her book club reading, or hanging out with her husband and their kitty, Edison.
Kelly Broderick
Kelly BroderickNature Program Coordinator
Nature Kelly will be working as your Nature Program Coordinator again this summer. Originally she grew up in Savannah, GA, where she went to several sailing, canoeing, and Girl Scout camps every summer. She moved to Nashville 6 years ago and has loved getting to know the area. From river clean ups to hikes with her 2 cute pups, she thinks Nashville is a great place to be. During the year, Nature Kelly is a Science teacher but on her days off she loves to garden, climb trees, and just get dirty! She has 2 bearded dragons and a hedgehog that will make guest appearances this summer at camp. Nature Kelly’s favorite camp activity is looking for salamanders under the waterfall. She can’t wait to meet you all.
Jackson Biedebach
Jackson BiedebachRopes Coordinator
I absolutely love the outdoors so you will often find me rock climbing/bouldering, riding my motorcycle, kicking down the street on my longboard, and/or flowing down the local rivers on my kayak! When I’m not working at camp during the summer, I work for an independent moving company based out of Nashville and tend to travel across the country for work! My favorite part about camp is being able to interact with all the young faces while enjoying the beautiful Mother Nature and exploring all she has to offer! I love introducing kids to new outdoor experiences as well as helping experienced rock climbers, horseback riders, kayakers, tree climbers, etc., advance their own skills! I will always be a kid at heart so this is the perfect place for me to be! See you on the farm!
Kate Brison
Kate BrisonOffice Coordinator
Kate is a Nashville native and has been working in the camp office for the past 6 years! She has a background in psychology as well as a passion for organizing and making things simpler for our wonderful families and staff! When camp is not in session, you are likely to find her traveling through New England, watching golf, or spending time with her husband and french bulldog, Francis.
Peter Nordberg
Peter NordbergOperations Manager
As the new Operations Manager at Camp Whippoorwill, I’m excited to be here and I’m already looking forward to next summer! I was born in Sweden and my first visit to America was when I was 17 years old and I worked as a camp counselor in NY state. Before starting to work at Whippoorwill I was working at Vanderbilt for 7 years. When I’m not at Whippoorwill I am a soccer coach and scout, and have a great love of the outdoors. I love being outside and do many activities such as skiing, hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing, running half marathons, and obstacle course races. As the father of three girls, I am very supportive of kids getting camp experiences, learning basics about navigating in the outdoors, and interacting with animals and nature.
