We are excited to offer limited Counselor-in-Training positions for rising high school juniors and seniors who have attended at least one year of Whippoorwill’s Leadership Challenge session. Learn more.

For campers entering 9th or 10th grade

This two-week program is designed to teach and enhance leadership, team building, communication and decision making skills in young teenagers. All participants will be certified in first aid and CPR, participate in a service project, and enjoy a team building field trip off property.

The first week of the program is designed to build team comradery, learn basic leadership skills and set personal goals. The second week is spent using those new skills and working with younger campers and shadowing staff. Every day includes a fun camp activity and time in the pool or pond. The program wraps up with a pizza party and conversation with the camp director on how to work at camp in the future.

We hope the program teaches skills that the teens can use at their schools, in the community, with their family and future jobs – maybe even at Whippoorwill!
