Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in office procedures (i.e. filing, answering phones, photocopying, e-mail correspondence)
  • Ability to use a computer
  • Ability to accept guidance and supervision
  • Ability to work independently and be a team player
  • Passion for helping others
  • Good character, integrity, and adaptability
  • Enthusiasm, sense of humor, and patience
  • Desire and ability to work in a camp setting
  • 25 years of age

Responsible to:

Executive Camp Director and/or CFO

General Responsibilities:

  • To facilitate the work of the camp’s director, assistant directors, and CFO (business manager)

Specific Responsibilities:

  1. Answer phone with pleasant tone and take accurate messages
  2. Check and respond to all e-mail correspondence in a timely matter
  3. Keep office and surrounding area clean and neat
  4. Sort the camp mail and prepare outgoing mail
  5. Learn camp software (CampBrain)
  6. Call and collect any outstanding money from registrants. All money should be paid in full 1 month prior to session; send e-mail reminders 5 weeks before session; call families 3 weeks before session if still not paid.
  7. Keep track of bus notes every day and create afternoon updates to be handed to driver in the afternoon.  If parent is picking camper up early, please help coordinate pickup with program directors.
  8. Collect and enter order forms for camp merchandise
  9. Keep staff attendance on calendar and assist with payroll
  10. If time allows, give camp tour to visitors
  11. Arrange and print bus lists every Friday afternoon for bus drivers next session
  12. Assist with organization and distribution of camp newspaper on a weekly basis
  13. Create and distribute Session Information sheet for each session
  14. Order supplies as needed, ensuring timely arrival of materials
